Job Title: Childrens Home Manager - Children's Residential Home (Learning Disabilities)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Childrens Home Manager to lead a four-bedroom children's residential home in Reading, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities (LD). This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while working alongside an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) who brings extensive expertise in the sector.
As the Childrens Home Manager you will ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment, enabling young people to achieve their full potential. You will lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality, child-centered care while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring Ofsted standards and regulations are met.
* Lead, develop, and support a team to provide therapeutic and person-centered care to children with learning disabilities.
* Create a safe and structured environment that promotes emotional, social, and educational development.
* Work closely with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
* Manage budgets, resources, and reporting to maintain operational efficiency.
* Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential care setting.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
