The Crab & Lobster is an acclaimed restaurant in the village of Asenby, near Thirsk.
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of all aspects of food and beverage for our 2 Rosette Restaurant and 5 * Boutique Hotel, to ensure a high level of execution and standards.
This is a key leadership role that requires strong managerial skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
You will work with the General Manager to develop an effective food and beverage strategy to:
* Maximise revenue and effectively manage the front of house team.
* Manage and maintain the EPOS and stock system to its full stock control capacity, maintaining effective and robust for liquor stock control.
* Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and control payroll through efficiencies and effective scheduling.
* Manage front of house staff; including recruitment and induction, ensuring that mandatory training modules are completed in the agreed time frame, performance is reviewed and ongoing training needs are identified.
* Develop staff to ensure all our team deliver the best possible service to our guests, are competent within their roles, and are engaged in learning.
This is a full-time "hands on" role, working a minimum of 45 hours per week over 5 days out of 7 and will require weekend and evening work on a rota basis, as we are open 7 days a week.
We are looking for:
* A minimum of 1 year's experience as Restaurant Manager of at least 1 Rosette standard
* Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, at a minimum of 4* and 1 Rosette standard.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of bartending techniques and beverage selection.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
