Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. Well, what about the team?
The Kitchen Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the seamless preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining the high-quality standards expected by the business. This individual will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and hygiene regulations throughout the kitchen operations. The Kitchen Assistant will work closely with the culinary team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of orders, while upholding the consistency of food quality and presentation in line with business standards.
Please note, due to the nature of the business, shift work is required and will include early morning, late evenings and weekends.
So, what will you be doing?
* Maintaining inventory control, food safety, and sanitation standards.
* Maintaining high levels of cleanliness by being responsible for the clearing and cleaning of utensils; crockery, cutlery, equipment and workstations.
* Having an acute awareness of Health and Hygiene standards required for the kitchen operation.
* Ensuring highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food offerings.
* Producing high quality food offerings upon demand that meets Company and customer standards.
* Adopting and consistently displaying the Company philosophy and vision to customer service standards.
* Understanding the cooking instructions and visual requirement for all dishes available on the food menus.
* Maintaining and sustaining a clean and safe working area as prescribed in the cleaning schedule of the kitchen operations.
* Adhering to and show understanding of Food Hygiene standards as per legislation and Company standard expectations.
* Ensuring that opening and close down procedures are recorded and maintained.
* Reporting any H&S issues in a timely manner.
And what are we looking for?
* Possess kitchen experience preferably in a Casino; Hospitality; Retail or Service driven environment.
* Have the appropriate tertiary Catering qualifications (Level 2 Food & Hygiene qualification).
* Have robust understanding of Health & Food Hygiene legislations.
* Possess knowledge of kitchen utensil/machinery usage requirements and fundamental kitchen skills.
* Have an organized and efficient approach to work.
* Be able to estimate the daily production needs.
* Have the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
* Be a team player with excellent attention to detail skills.
