The Role:
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be an integral member in delivery of the data and transformation strategy and vision for the finance department, driving the move from transactional to value-add, and the digitalisation of reports and processes. You will provide financial support and analysis to the business, including analysis of business data, preparation of financial models, identifying trends, and clear recommendations to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support transformation projects across the department, including automating reports and processes, and also helping drive projects
* Produce Commercial Performance Dashboards, to drive discussions on business performance and highlight key opportunities and risks.
* Work closely and attend meetings with other departments including but not limited to Customer Insight, Marketing, Commercial, Data office/IT and Risk on projects, transformations, and to discuss and agree analysis objectives and provide recommendations where necessary.
* Provide consistent and baselined data feeds for use in Pricing and Business Case models based on relevant behavioural characteristics to the Commercial Finance team and wider business where required.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis, and also improving systems, data and procedures.
* Have the ability to explain and translate Finance processes and transactional routines into succinct technical documents and business requirements to allow for automation and a move to delivering more value add through the tools available.
Skills & Attributes:
* Have experience one of of either SAS, SQL, Tableau or Python
* Understand Financial Analysis and Financial Modelling
* A proven track record in liaising with internal and external stakeholders
* Project management exposure
* Analytical Mindset
* Confident presenting to stakeholders
