Location
At Punch we embrace work-life balance with our four-day work week, operating from Monday to Thursday, and a hybrid work model, allowing you to spend three days in the office and one day working from home.
Role Summary
A data-driven doer, able to work collaboratively across an integrated agency to drive the activation of digital strategies. You’ll be predominantly focused on organic and paid social media and performance marketing.
You’ll be calm and responsible, a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital channels and an ability to work with cross-functional teams. A friendly team player, with a positive attitude, who has a passion for delivering measurable results based on data and insight.
You will play a key role in enhancing brand visibility, proposing innovative digital solutions, driving customer acquisition and retention, and optimising digital marketing performance across our client portfolio and the agency itself.
Position Purpose
You’ll be responsible for developing, activating, and improving comprehensive social and performance marketing strategies that align with the agency’s goals and client’s business objectives.
You’ll work within an agency of marketing specialists, managing multiple client campaigns and projects, ensuring the seamless integration of digital tactics across various platforms.
Your role is vital for delivering data-driven marketing solutions that drive growth, using analytics and insight to suggest creative ways of working to improve performance and meet KPIs.
Key things you will do
1. Social media: Create, manage, and optimise both organic and paid social media content, across channels like TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, building loyal communities for our clients that drive engagement and conversion.
2. Performance marketing: Overseeing paid media strategies including SEM, affiliate, programmatic, display, email, remarketing, and social advertisements, optimising for ROI and high conversion rates. You’ll analyse campaign performance, generate insights, and recommend actionable improvements.
3. Strategic planning, research, and execution: Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across social media (both organic and paid) and performance marketing. You’ll work across departments, executing integrated campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing goals – and track campaign performance, providing actionable insights and monthly reports to improve ROI.
Other Key Responsibilities
* Lead on client social campaign meetings and project updates, fostering a positive, collaborative relationship.
* Ensure that all social and performance marketing projects and campaigns are delivered on time and to a high standard.
* Develop content ideas and collaborate with the creative team to produce visually compelling and impactful assets for both organic and paid campaigns.
* Conduct deep audience analysis using platform tools and third-party resources to refine targeting strategies and improve audience segmentation.
* Set up tracking mechanisms such as Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, and conversion tracking for comprehensive campaign performance monitoring.
* Identify emerging trends, platform innovations, and new tools to keep clients ahead of the curve in social marketing.
* Write clear, detailed briefs for the creative team, ensuring assets are optimised for performance goals.
* Continuously optimise paid campaigns through A/B testing, bid adjustments, and creative updates to improve performance metrics like CTR, CPC, and ROAS.
* Efficiently managing and optimising digital marketing and paid media budgets.
* Proofing and amending social content, making sure it's fit for purpose and meeting best practice standards.
* Reviewing and reporting on all areas of social and performance marketing strategies and campaigns, using data to inform future communication activity.
* Monitor competitors’ digital marketing efforts and provide insights on trends and opportunities for client campaigns.
* Provide detailed reports for clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting opportunities, trends, and performance.
* Serve as the primary point of contact, alongside the Head of Strategy, for clients on social media and performance marketing matters, providing strategic advice and updates.
* Work closely with client services team to ensure client happiness and campaign alignment.
* Working on client brand, social and digital audits, offering creative, data-led solutions.
* Identify target audiences, set campaign objectives, and define robust KPIs for digital activity.
* Oversee the execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns.
* Conduct keyword research and craft compelling ad copy for PPC campaigns.
* Build and manage audiences for paid campaigns, utilising advanced targeting techniques.
* Create and test landing pages optimised for lead generation and conversion.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
* Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or Digital Media, or related field.
* Industry Experience: 3 years+ in digital marketing, with a deep understanding of social media and performance marketing best practices and tools. Additionally, preferably 3 years+ experience working in an integrated agency or hospitality-aligned environment.
* Strategic and analytical thinking: Ability to think critically about digital marketing activity, with a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns. Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, generate insights, and optimise campaigns for better performance.
* Technical proficiency: Able to use marketing automation tools, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Google Ads, Bing Ads, social media platforms, short-form video editing tools like Cap Cut, and SEO tools like SemRush.
* Project management: Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
* Creative collaboration: Ability to work closely with creative and content teams to ensure digital strategies are innovative and aligned with client branding, tone, and strategy.
* Flexible: Agile to changes to the digital marketing space, ready to adapt processes and try new ways of doing things to get the best results, staying on top of industry trends and best practice.
