Job Advert: Sports Coach for SEMH Pupils – Re-Engagement in Education
Are you passionate about using sports to inspire young people and make a real difference in their lives? We are seeking a Sports Coach to work with children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who require re-engagement in education and a positive role model to guide them.
About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will:
* Work with pupils during school hours to provide structured physical activities.
* Use sports to build confidence, teamwork, and self-discipline.
* Develop tailored activities that support individual needs and encourage re-engagement in education.
* Act as a positive role model, fostering trust and motivation in pupils.
* Work closely with school staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
We welcome applicants from sports coaching, youth work, or education backgrounds who:
* Have experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEMH or SEN.
* Are confident, enthusiastic, and able to inspire others through sports.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
* Can adapt to individual needs and manage challenging behaviors with a calm and professional approach.
* Hold relevant coaching qualifications or experience (preferred).

* Hours: Full-time, term-time only.
* Contract: 12-week temporary-to-permanent.
