Main Responsibilities:
* To undertake food preparation and cooking of items as directed by the Head Chef.
Main Duties:
* To carry out food preparations according to the standards set out by the Head Chef.
* To follow instructions, observing the rules set by the cafe regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating and storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment, reporting of notifiable diseases and notification to the hotel if he/she cannot attend work for whatever reason.
* To attend training courses and learning events for further training and development.
* To undertake some cleaning duties of kitchen equipment, facilities and other items as directed.
* To comply with all Company policies and procedures.
* To comply with statutory requirements regarding the workplace such as employment law, health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention etc.
* To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen.
Entry Requirements
Someone with some existing experience in cheffing operations/catering background to follow a L2 Production Chef or L3 Senior Production Chef Apprenticeship depending on relevant knowledge and experience.
Maths and English at Grade 4 is desired.

Training to be Provided
You will be supported by an Industry expert assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress, your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career.
Training will be a mix of face-to-face and online learning.
You will gain a Production chef qualification with a view to continuing onto further levels of apprenticeships and training.
Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.
Things to Consider
Due to the nature of the business, you will be required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and will often be on your feet for the entirety of the shift. 36 to 40 hours plus (exact working hours to be agreed, but over a Monday to Sunday shift). To start ASAP.

Level 3 production chef apprentice wanted to work in a friendly, independently owned relaxed and informal café offering fresh home-cooked food. Excellent opportunity to train as a chef in a friendly supportive environment and develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours over the course of the apprenticeship.
