An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as we look to appoint a Medical Staffing Specialist.
This post holder will be based within Medical Workforce and have an essential role in supporting the directorate in the provision of a highly effective and efficient advisory service.
You will work with doctors and managers on matters relating to the recruitment and ongoing employment of Consultant, SAS and Resident Medical Staff providing advice on national terms and conditions of service, Trust policies and procedures.
Experience of working within a Medical Workforce department is essential. Any additional training required will be provided by our dedicated and friendly team.
This role is suitable for anyone who has a preference for hybrid working, with some time spent in an office environment and some time working from home.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the provision of a highly effective and efficient Medical Staffing Advisory Service, providing advice and guidance to doctors and managers on matters relating to the recruitment and ongoing employment of Consultant, SAS, and Junior Medical Staff.
To lead work on the recruitment, selection and training of Consultant, SAS and Junior Medical Staff across the Trust ensuring all planned activities are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with agreed protocols including regular attendance at interviews.
To provide an efficient liaison service in relation to pay related issues for Consultant, SAS and Junior Medical Staff ensuring any pay related matters are agreed and processed in line with agreed protocols.

Qualifications & Training
Essential
* Educated to degree level, ideally in a HR related subject or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* Extensive experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other database packages.
* Extensive use and knowledge of using NHS systems (TRAC, ESR, Allocate E-Rota etc.).
Desirable
* CIPD qualification.

* Experience of providing HR advice to individuals and managers and on terms and conditions.
* Thorough knowledge of National Terms and Conditions relevant to the employment of Consultant, SAS, and Resident Medical Staff.
* Understanding of Resident Doctors' rotas, work schedule management, and exception reporting processes.
* Understanding of data protection and maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both internal and external to the organisation.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate information from multiple sources.
* Ability to meet departmental deadlines and manage workload effectively.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information relating to the employment of medical staff in line with relevant protocols.
