The Rough Sleeping Contract Officer will play a critical role in addressing the complex issue of homelessness, with a specific focus on rough sleeping. This position is essential for coordinating and managing contracts that provide vital services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, non-profit organizations, and service providers, to ensure that the contracts are being executed effectively and that the needs of the community are being met. Responsibilities will include monitoring contract performance, evaluating service delivery, and working closely with teams to develop strategies that improve outcomes for rough sleepers. The Officer will also be involved in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making and improve service delivery. A strong understanding of homelessness issues, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster partnerships are paramount for this role. Responsibilities
Manage and oversee contracts related to rough sleeping services to ensure compliance with service agreements.
Monitor the performance of service providers, tracking key performance indicators and ensuring quality service delivery.
Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of contracts and services provided to rough sleepers to assess effectiveness and impact.
Collaborate with partners, including local authorities and NGOs, to coordinate support services and resources for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaborative problem-solving.
Prepare reports and presentations on contract performance, budget utilization, and service outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
Support the development of new initiatives and partnerships aimed at reducing rough sleeping in the community.
Requirements
Proven experience in contract management, preferably within the public or nonprofit sectors.
Strong knowledge of homelessness issues, particularly relating to rough sleeping and associated support services.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and evaluate service effectiveness.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
