Job Description Cost Controller/Quantity Surveyor with Stork: Set up the cost control for projects during contract execution as well as monitor the financial progress of projects in order to contribute to the full realization of the project objectives. Tasks and Responsibilities as Cost Controller/Quantity Surveyor: Define project control system for cost management Set-up of project control system based on Client accounting and reporting systems, Stork standardised cost control method, including supply chain forecasting and reporting and contract financials. Make budget changes in relation to project scope changes. Set-up of budgets and project administration Code, monitor & approve costs and allocate these as appropriate Set-up periodic budget reporting in close cooperation with project manager and involved departments. Participate in set-up of cost control (and related) work processes Coordinate costing of budget revisions Forecast cash flow over project cycle Monitoring of financial planning and progress Complete/update project cost control sheet per period (minimum monthly) Determine stable forecasts based on updated activity reports & (physical) percentage of completion per month as appropriate. Give advice and information about the expected financial results, overruns and underruns within the different budget-components Give advice for mitigating actions within the project, especially related to claims and extra work Collect and analyse projects data and compare this with budgets and subsequent calculation Conduct project evaluations with project leader as a basis for future profitable projects Analyse trend in cost of the projects and make projections and adjust planning for the whole project. Ensure correct allocation of costs against applicable budget lines. Ensure billing is submitted to the client in a timely manner. Monitor status of payments and invoices and support project manager in invoicing to client Monitor cash flow over project cycle and advise project manager on improvement actions JOB REQUIREMENTS At Stork, we attach great value to the key competences of our employees.
