In this role you will play a pivotal role in support and transformation activities, working with the business and our technology partners to provide support to our applications and implement solutions with detailed functional specs mapped to technical requirements. You will be responsible for analysing and specifying functional requirements to deliver technical solutions across a wide range of technologies, including APIs and cloud hosted solutions. Adopt an agile approach to delivery and DevOps methodology using tools such as JIRA and Confluence. The difference you’ll make: Engaging autonomously with technical and business stakeholders, key users and other third parties involved in the production systems and processes to elicit and capture overall scope, approach and business requirements Creating functional specifications linked to the chosen technical implementation according to best practise in the industry Adding value by challenging the business requirements i.e. what are the gaps in what is stated versus understanding of the overall objective and proposed operating model Championing a test-driven delivery strategy by ensuring that all requirements have clearly defined success criteria Supporting the Operations production systems, as well as solution architects, developers and PM as the SME with knowledge in wholesale markets trading and settlements What you’ll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Good understanding of the different wholesale markets areas such as Front Office, Middle Office, Settlements, Operations, Market Risk, Regulatory Reporting and Compliance Sound knowledge of treasury markets including FX, Derivatives in Interest Rates, Equities, Securities, Repo, Stock Borrow Lending Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to produce high quality specifications, adhering to appropriate policy and governance Able to work with large data sets and perform financial analysis Ability to closely work with the users and iteratively deliver solutions to meet business requirements Experience in owning and supporting full lifecycle delivery, including design, analysis, development, testing, UAT, implementation and production support It would also be nice for you to have: Expertise in Treasury Trading Settlement/Payments, Collateral management, Accounting Exposure to other core business areas including Liquidity Management, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Requirements, Credit Risk and ALM Broad technical knowledge with familiarisation of big data, cloud technology, micro-service architecture, APIs, delivery pipelines and continuous delivery tools, real-time architectures typical in markets, SQL What else you need to know: This permanent role is based in London Triton Square. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
