The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking meals from raw for a large group as well as knowledge in cleaning and housekeeping duties. LOCATION: Belfast POSITION: Cook housekeeper PAY RATE: Band 2 £11.45 HOURS: 30 hours (with overtime opportunities) on a rota basis including weekends Benefits: Enhanced holiday package Pension scheme Free training inclusive of E - learning Retail, leisure and high street discounts Weekly pay - Band 2 - £11.45 per hour basic hours Immediate start dates available A pre set rota based working schedule Requirements: Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role Ability to cook for a large group Knowledge on cleaning and housekeeping duties A valid driving license Ability to adapt to different situations Effective communication skills Ability to exercise tact and maintain confidentiality Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work independently Due to the nature of this work enhanced vetting is essential including a Access NI A caring and supportive personality Responsibilities: Preparing beverages, snacks, preparation and cooking of meals as per menu Ordering food, maintaining adequate stocks and ensuring good stock rotation Complying with all food hygiene control systems Labeling and dating of food on delivery Ensuring food is correctly and safely stored Dishwashing Cleaning all kitchen equipment Cleaning of sinks, baths, toilets, showers and urinals. Damp cleaning of furniture, fixtures, fittings, paintwork, tiles and glass partitions. All floor maintenance i.e. vacuuming, damp mopping, spray cleaning, burnishing, machine scrubbing and shampooing. Hand washing of non-launderable items Laundering and ironing of personal clothing, bed linen, towels etc. Cleaning laundry equipment At all times provide a caring service and to treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner. The post holder will promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency. The post holder will ensure that they take all concerns raised with them seriously and act in accordance with Belfast Trust's Whistleblowing Policy and their professional code of conduct, where applicable. Demonstrate their commitment by their regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them.
