Overview
Youth Workers in schools provide vital support, guidance, and mentorship to young people, typically adolescents, during their formative years. They act as a bridge between students, teachers, and families, fostering positive relationships and creating a safe space for self-expression. By addressing challenges such as academic struggles, social pressures, and mental health concerns, Youth Workers help students develop essential life skills, resilience, and self-confidence, contributing to their holistic growth and well-being.
The Job
Provide one-on-one mentoring, group sessions, and workshops to support students facing challenges such as behavioural or emotional difficulties.
Work closely with teachers and parents to develop strategies for student success.
Address students' academic, social, and personal needs through targeted interventions.
Create a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered to express themselves.
Act as a positive role model, fostering resilience, self-confidence, and essential life skills in students.
