We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team in London. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring they are able to live independently, comfortably, and with dignity. You will assist with daily living tasks, offer companionship, and help with any other care needs, promoting the well-being and safety of clients in the community. Key Responsibilities : Provide personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while respecting their dignity and privacy. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safe practices are followed. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring that clients have access to proper nutrition and hydration. Administer prescribed medication, ensuring it is given according to guidelines and recording any medication taken. Help clients with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment. Offer companionship and emotional support, promoting social interaction and well-being. Support clients with physical or cognitive challenges in maintaining independence and quality of life. Monitor and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the care supervisor or manager, ensuring prompt intervention. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, documenting services provided and any changes in health or behavior. Promote the safety and well-being of clients by following safeguarding protocols, reporting any incidents or concerns promptly. Work with the wider care team to ensure continuity of care and deliver personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Assist with light exercise or rehabilitation tasks as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring clients remain active and engaged. Ensure that all care is provided in line with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. A genuine passion for supporting people in their own homes and improving their quality of life. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and the care team. Ability to assist with personal care and other tasks in a respectful and sensitive manner. Knowledge of safeguarding practices, health and safety regulations, and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
