This is the job We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud & Security Platform Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and security patterns. This role ensures that our cloud environments are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and team leadership. What will I be doing? Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure platforms. Develop and implement security strategies to protect cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001). Lead and mentor a high-performing team of digital professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance. Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and conducting post-incident reviews to improve security posture. What do I need? Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with proficiency in cloud services including compute, storage, networking, database, and serverless architectures. Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, monitoring), along with cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, with experience in implementing and managing security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and GDPR. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while effectively communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders. Highly numerate and analytical, with a creative and innovative mindset to identify, nurture, and scale new opportunities, and the ability to see both the big picture and focus on details. Adaptable and flexible, with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise, manage, and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines, and communicate effectively at all levels.
