THE TEAM This is a newly created role within the finance team and will report into the JSM CFO. The finance team is growing rapidly and is made up of a cohort of highly committed individuals who are keen to support JSM in delivering its growth goals. SCOPE OF ROLE In this newly created role of Head of Financial Services, you will report directly into the CFO and have a crucial role as JSM continues its expansion. The growth in size and complexity of JSM, the private equity ownership and our financial structure now require significant management, hence why we are looking for our next great addition to the team. As a senior member of the finance team, you will implement strong financial discipline and control, be hands-on and foster a mindset of responsibility, professionalism and continuous improvement. HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED Reporting to the CFO, the role involves overseeing key financial operations, with a focus on: Treasury: overall cash management, financing agreements and RCF obligations, banking, bonds, ESG Tax: compliance (PAYE, CT, VAT), implementing Senior Accounting Officer requirements, IR35 and payroll, tax planning, risk management. Working closely with external tax advisors. Insurance: D&O, main liability, cyber Company secretarial: manager external company secretarial services, equity, Private Equity reporting, filings Statutory accounts: provide notes and information In your role as the Head of Financial Services, you will have a crucial part in overseeing our financial well-being, spearheading efforts to update finance operations, and guaranteeing adherence to financial laws. Your guidance is essential in coordinating financial plans with our organisational goals, guaranteeing continued growth and stability. WHAT IT TAKES Qualified expert: professional accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA preferred). Relevant experience within practice as well as industry experience preferred Proactive, hands-on and excellent attention to detail. Experience in financial control and reporting. Structured and strategic thinker: great analytical and planning skills, with a proven ability to lead complex financial services. Communicator and influencer: strong communication skills, able to engage effectively and explain technical issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
