* Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
* Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
* Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
* Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication. The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times. Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered). Transport Requirement: Car driver and car owner - must have business insurance.

To support a young male with a diagnosis of autism and severe learning disabilities, he loves to go to play areas - although he can be a bit wobbly as he has low muscle tone and is super flexible joints so needs help accessing some items of equipment. He loves going out to town and cafes! He cant walk too far otherwise his legs get very tired, I have a pushchair for say woodland walks, or more outdoorsy places with good footpaths, and am still waiting for a wheelchair for which he has been assessed. He is generally a very happy boy, non verbal, uses communication IPAD. He has epilepsy, and I have rescue meds if needed, so far his medication is keeping things under control. Successful person may need training on his rescue meds. Weekends are likely to be the preferred times days although open to discussion regards the hours to be worked. Must hold a clean driving license.
