The Role:
As Support Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside our Service Manager to deliver high-quality care while supporting the team in daily operations. This role involves taking on key responsibilities in the manager's absence, maintaining exceptional care standards, and creating a positive, empowering atmosphere for both staff and service users.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Act as a deputy for the Service Manager, overseeing team operations, coordinating schedules, and providing mentorship and guidance.
Person-Led Care: Ensure that each individual’s care plan is fully implemented, fostering development in daily living skills, social integration, and independence.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain supportive relationships with service users, their families, and external professionals.
Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate documentation, support team adherence to policy, and complete reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance: Promote continuous improvement within the service, ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment at all times.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience: Proven experience within a care setting, ideally with vulnerable individuals with complex needs.
Strong Leadership: Capable of leading a team, managing responsibilities, and making decisions effectively, particularly in the absence of the Service Manager.
Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication, numeracy, and computer use. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
Person-Centered Approach: Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to supporting individuals with respect and dignity.
