Job Title: Flexible Teaching Assistant Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Hours: Flexible hours based on availability. School working days 8/8:30 to 3:15/3:30 Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in delivering lessons, ensuring students understand the content and supporting them during activities. Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Behaviour Management: Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. Preparation: Prepare classroom materials, set up equipment, and organize activities for students as directed by the teacher. Monitoring and Reporting: Track student progress, provide feedback to the teacher, and assist with maintaining accurate records of students' achievements and challenges. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure students' needs are met and that learning goals are achieved. Flexibility: Be adaptable in working across different classrooms, with a variety of subjects and age groups, depending on the needs of the school. Inclusion Support: Assist with creating an inclusive learning environment by supporting students with diverse needs and backgrounds. Key Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not always necessary. A passion for supporting children’s learning is essential. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, teachers, and parents. Child Protection: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a current Enhanced DBS check required. Be able to provide 2 references.
