The post holder will be required to undertake a wide variety of general clerical and reception duties working on the reception desk of the Academic Centre. The role will require the post holder to access a range of electronic systems including electronic room bookings to input or obtain information accurately. You will also be required to efficiently answer telephone and face to face enquires redirecting as required to the appropriate area. The post holder will also provide additional support to the evening porter and will need to work flexibly to cover the needs of the service.,
* Provide direction, assistance and support to visitors and patients visiting the Academic Centre.
* Provide porter service, moving furniture around the building as and when required.
* Receiving and processing room booking, resource and hospitality requests and deal with ongoing enquiries.
* Receive telephone calls providing assistance or redirecting to the appropriate area and maintain internal telephone directory.
* Data inputting or other support task, as directed by the department leads.
* Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing post and deliveries. Monitor timely collections to maintain prompt collections and a clean and tidy work environment.
* Order stationery items to maintain the centralised stationery, issue stationery stock and monitor usage.
* Issue AV equipment and monitor return.
* Report building faults, record, monitor and following up outstanding.
Leadership and Improvement Training
