One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for someone with experience of employability to join us as an Employment Advisor. Within the Salvation Army, Employment Advisors are known as Employment Development Coordinators.
The Salvation Army’s Employment Plus service offers tailored support to help people become job-ready. Our aim is to help job seekers to get a job and stay in work. As an Employment Advisor you will help individuals from the deprived communities within the area in identifying, developing, securing and sustaining appropriate work opportunities, while also delivering high quality employability advice and guidance.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload to ensure a high quality service is delivered to all. In addition, you will develop and maintain close working partnerships both internally with Homelessness Services, Community Services and Corps, and externally with the DWP and other partners.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Good knowledge of, and experience in, the Employability sector
Ability to work as part of a team but also to work alone, under pressure and to targets
Ability to follow process and be accurate with paperwork
Great communication and IT skills.
You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
