The Staffordshire Research School has been a member of the Research School Network since 2019. During this time, we have supported 100s of schools and Trusts across the West Midlands and beyond through our partnerships and professional development offer. This key leadership position, for a colleague from either a secondary or primary setting, involves working strategically with schools, MATs, LAs and other organisations across the West Midlands region. Are you somebody who: • is passionate about supporting the EEF’s mission to, ‘break the link between family-income and educational achievement’? • is extremely knowledgeable about educational research and sharing this with school leaders and staff? • is experienced in leading, and leading others, through change and the effective implementation of evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning? • can confidently deliver high quality professional development for education professionals, both locally, regionally and nationally? • is keen to become part of the Education Endowment Foundation’s Research Schools Network, play a pivotal role in JTMAT strategy and developments, work with the accredited John Taylor SCITT, and collaborate with the John Taylor Teaching School Hub? We are looking for someone who: • Is an experienced leader with a proven track record of using evidence and research to improve outcomes for students • Can lead the Research School Operational Lead and a team of Evidence Leads in Education (ELEs) • Will support the Educational Endowment Foundation (EEF) Regional Lead for the West Midlands in scaling up work across the region, acting as a delivery partner for the EEF. • Can establish, develop, and lead a wide range of partnerships, support work and professional development to support schools, settings, Trusts, LAs and other organisations to better understand the role evidence can play in school improvement. • Can increase engagement with evidence-informed approaches for high-quality teaching and learning. • Can identify, create, and deliver high-quality exemplification materials and can model to others how to achieve this standard • Can design and deliver training programmes to support teachers and leaders bring evidence to life in a variety of school settings and contexts. • Will carefully monitor activity and evaluate the impact and budget of the Research School’s work.
