The Team Leader of Family Services will oversee a team providing critical services that support families across the region. This role requires close collaboration with the Inner and Outer East Child & Family Services Alliance, as well as key partners such as the Orange Door and other service providers. By working together, we aim to create positive and effective outcomes for children and families, ensuring they receive the best care and support. As a Team Leader, you will: Lead and manage a team of up to 9 direct reports, ensuring high-quality, consumer-centred, and culturally competent programs that align with strategic goals and business objectives. Foster strong internal and external relationships, including with stakeholders, partners, and funders, and promote a collaborative approach to service delivery and continuous improvement. Oversee service coordination, ensuring programs are accessible, inclusive, and delivered in a coordinated, care-team approach, while also leading emergency response when required. Manage administrative functions such as case allocation, reporting, policy development, and ensuring compliance with organizational systems and processes. Provide team leadership, coaching, supervision, and regular performance reviews to promote a positive, productive, and high-performance work environment. Your skills and experience To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a bachelor level degree in social work, psychology or a related discipline. You will also have: Extensive experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team within a complex service delivery environment Sound understanding of the Best Interests Principles and Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to form effective working relationships and foster a positive team culture Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills View the position description here.
