Control Systems Engineer - West Yorkshire
3-6 month contract (likely longer) / Outside IR35
Rate £42.50 - £47.50 p/h DOE (outside IR35)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in West Yorkshire. They operate in systems, installation, and commissioning of complex projects across Water, Food, Oil & Gas, and Pharma. Due to ongoing projects, they are looking for an experienced Controls Systems Engineer with strong experience within the water industry to join their team on an interim basis. Initially, this contract/project is for 3-6 months.
Daily Duties:
1. Development, modification, and testing of PLC, HMI & SCADA software.
2. Preparing IO Schedules from client-provided information and discussions.
3. Writing detailed Function Design Specifications (FDS).
4. Review documentation and software of both, work completed by self as well as others.
5. A degree of autonomy to manage own projects and liaising with customers.
Required Attributes:
1. Strong appreciation for controls systems.
2. Hands-on experience within the water industry working on tanks, pumps, rigs, etc.
3. Experience programming PLCs on Allen Bradley.
4. Experience in full project life cycles preparing design documents through to commissioning.
5. Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage own workload.
