My client situated in Blackburn are looking for a Cost Estimator to add to their ever expanding manufacturing team.
Role Overview:
As a Cost Estimator, you’ll play a pivotal role in our product development and cost optimisation efforts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyse data, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our processes and products. Your expertise will directly impact our bottom line and drive our competitive edge.
Responsibilities of a Cost Estimator:
* Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine the cost of materials, labour, and equipment needed for a project.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates.
* Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.
* Conduct research to gather data on materials, labor rates, and equipment costs.
* Use cost estimating software and tools to calculate project costs.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients.
* Present cost estimates to clients and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
* Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the project and make adjustments as necessary.
* Collaborate with procurement teams to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.
Experience of a Cost Estimator:
* Proven experience as a Cost Estimator or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
