Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 3 Directorate Support Secretary to support the Trauma Directorate for 12 months on a fixed term or secondment basis.
The post holder is required to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Trauma Directorate and wider workforce to ensure an efficient and smooth running service. You will be hardworking, flexible and organised, have secretarial experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, along with experience of Diary Management and minute taking.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include (but are not limited to): liaising with other departments, organising electronic diaries, maintaining records, taking minutes at Directorate meetings and preparing papers for relevant meetings.

Education/ Training
* GCSE (or equivalent) pass in English and Maths
* Previous secretarial experience
* RSA 2 typewriting or equivalent
* Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise own work
* Audio typing and transcribing of minutes and/or other documents
* Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills
* Understand internal IT Systems
