Customer Service & Logistics Representative
Reports to Accounting Manager
Classification: Salaried Exempt
Job Summary:
The person in this position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing customers with courteous, professional and efficient service. They act as the main correspondent between the company, its clients, its logistics contacts, and the Account Managers. They effectively communicate with customers and logistics contacts regarding orders, delivery process and service of orders in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Deals directly with customers/logistics contacts either by telephone, electronically, or face to face.
2. Assists with customer issues such as shipments, price adjustments and general product information.
3. Manages inbound International shipments with the assistance of Forwarders, Brokers, and logistics contacts.
4. Performs document management by maintaining an internal data base for inbound shipments in Adobe.
5. Frequently works with sales associates in coordinating orders and quotations.
6. Processes phone, fax, e-mail and verbal orders and requests from customers.
7. Responsible for providing customers with accurate answers to questions and complaints regarding products and services.
8. Performs data entry for purposes such as processing orders, accessing previous orders and special orders, and providing customers with current prices; researches any other inquiries as requested.
9. Communicates with sales associates and customers regarding any deviations from original orders.
10. Follows up on orders, ensuring production and shipment are completed on time.
11. Forwards to customer order acknowledgement by fax or e-mail.
12. Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
13. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Logistics terminology, Incoterms, and the movement of International shipments.
Sage 100 experience a plus.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Ability to effectively work in a Windows environment with experience in Outlook, Word and Excel.
Excellent detail-oriented customer service skills.
Excellent Adobe Acrobat skills.
Education & Experience:
* High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of customer service/logistics experience; Bachelor's degree preferred; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
Positions at CW may require the following: alternating between sitting and standing; climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding or ramps; crouching/stooping; driving; near/far visual acuity; fine motor manipulation; gross motor manipulation; hearing; keyboarding; kneeling; lifting/carrying; moving objects; peripheral visual acuity; pushing or pulling; reaching overhead or below; repetitive task performance; sitting; speaking; standing; using foot or leg controls; walking.
Environmental Requirements:
Our manufacturing facility is a climate-controlled environment. There is no long-term exposure to dangerously loud noise or extreme temperatures.
Cognitive Requirements:
Cognitive abilities include executing tasks independently; learning and/or memorizing tasks; maintaining concentration/focus on tasks; working with/in close proximity to, other people.
Attendance Requirements:
All hourly team members are expected to report to work and be ready to work at their scheduled start time. It is required that they adhere to and follow the attendance policy(ies).
All salaried team members are expected to perform their duties/responsibilities in a timely manner. Although they may not have set schedules, they are expected to either be at work on a schedule agreed upon by their manager or be available via phone/text/Teams if working remotely (Remote work does not apply to CWM positions).
