Working from our depot in Mallusk, you will deliver to our SPAR stores throughout Northern Ireland.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing a superior quality delivery service.
As a Driver, you will:
• Ensure all documentation is correct prior to departing from depot.
• Delivering the goods in first class condition to the agreed location
• Ensure the appropriate delivery documentation is signed.
• Collect and document all product returns.
• Maintain the lorry (including vehicle hygiene and daily water/oil/fuel checks
• Cage control and accountability.
The role involves a significant amount of manual handling, specifically pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy loads.
Skills for Success
Joining us as a Driver the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
• A current HGV Group C + E licence
• Possess a Driver Qualification Card
• Possess a Digital Tachograph Card
The attributes you’ll need include:
• Ability to work independently using initiative
It is Desirable if you had:
• A minimum of 2 years lorry driving experience
• Experience driving for a FMCG Company
• Knowledge of vehicle refrigeration
• Knowledge of tail lift operation

Hours and days of work:
There full-time positions working a core contract of 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 - job to finish and overtime as required. Working on a 6th day every two weeks is also a requirement for this role.
Shift pattern:
There are multiple roles available working either:
Starting between 4am-5am daily or starting between 1pm and 5pm daily.
All roles are job to finish, and flexibility is required with regards to hours of work.
We also have part time opportunties available working predominantly weekends.
Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss the shift patterns at interview.
Earnings potential:
Our Drivers will receive a basic hourly rate but are also paid for every hour worked and will have a performance related bonus scheme. This allows additional income through tasks related to the role i.e. Cage collection, lorry refuelling etc. After training, you can potentially earn £36k OTE gross upwards per annum.
