The role will demand an ability to provide a safe level of care and treatment management for patients of all ages. The post holder will be expected to lead on paediatric areas of care. While the post holder will be paediatric trained, the role will include working with both adult and paediatric patients. Working alongside the consultants, specialist registrar, Haemophilia lead nurse, clinical nurse specialists, and physiotherapist, the post holder will treat patients within day care settings and may manage a community-based caseload. They will play an important role within the multidisciplinary team in educating and supporting families. They will also act as a source of specialised advice and information for hospital-based staff. The post holder will be encouraged to develop their own areas of interest to take forward to benefit the service and will lead by example as the expert practitioner providing organisation and leadership to the multi-professional team.
