About The Role
Job Summary:
As a Breakfast Assistant at Lough Erne Resort, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our hotel and wedding guests. You will ensure that our guests start their day on the right note by delivering impeccable service during breakfast service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the setup, service, and maintenance of the breakfast dining area, while also attending to guest needs and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Table Service:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude upon arrival.
- Assist guests with seating and make them feel comfortable.
- Take orders accurately, providing menu recommendations as needed.
- Ensure tables are properly set and cleared in a timely manner.
2. Guest Engagement:
- Actively engage with guests, answering questions about the menu and special requests.
- Attend to any guest concerns or special dietary requirements with professionalism and courtesy.
- Ensure guests have everything they need for a pleasant breakfast experience.
3. Setup and Maintenance:
- Assist in the setup of the breakfast buffet and dining area before service.
- Monitor and replenish buffet items as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area throughout the service.
- Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate effectively with the Restaurant Manager and other staff members.
- Assist with training new team members as needed.
5. Hygiene and Safety:
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain personal hygiene and a neat appearance.
6. Guest Feedback:
- Solicit feedback from guests and address any concerns promptly.
- Strive for continuous improvement in service quality.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Availability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
