We are excited to offer the position of Senior Medical Education Fellow, based at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an individual from any clinical discipline who is a fully registered medical practitioner, and has a keen interest in medical education. You should normally be in specialty training with a national training number. Ideally you will be able to start in August or September 2025. This post is for 12 months fixed term and can be either as an out-of-programme or a stand-alone experience. The post holder will be involved in the education of medical students from Years 1-5 of the University of Leeds, and trainee Physician Associates from the University of Leeds and the University of Bradford. This role also supports the Education Lead for Undergraduate Medical Education in the leadership and management responsibilities for a team of Junior medical education fellows and Post Foundation Doctors. You will work collaboratively to contribute to various aspects of the delivery of Undergraduate Medical education within the Trust, with the foresight of the workforce plan. Main duties of the job This role essentially sits within the undergraduate medical education team, providing education and training to our learners, although the post holder will be expected to play a role in the wider education department and contribute to include post-graduate teaching, and the development of both medical and clinical education in the Trust. Teaching will be based in classroom, and clinical settings and the post holder will also be expected to be able to deliver a wide range of clinical skills. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the assessment of learners - e.g through OSCE examinations. The post holder will ensure high quality learning environments for all disciplines within a context of multi-professional education and training that is responsive to future changes. The post holder will build on their leadership and management skills as they ensure quality of the work delivered by the team.
