Senior Solicitor – Private Wealth PQE Level: 6 years The Opportunity A leading Private Wealth team in Manchester is seeking a Senior Associate or Salaried Partner to join their well-established and dynamic department. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled solicitor to work with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients on complex, rewarding matters. If you have experience in lifetime and estate planning, tax mitigation, and trust structures—and are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking team—this role is ideal for you. About the Role As a key member of the team, you will: Advise HNW and UHNW individuals, families, business owners, landowners, corporate trustees, and charities. Provide guidance on inheritance tax mitigation, estate administration, Will drafting, and the formation and taxation of trust structures. Work alongside private banks, financial advisers, accountants, and investment managers to deliver tailored and holistic advice. Handle contentious trusts and probate matters for executors, trustees, and beneficiaries. Supervise and mentor junior fee earners. For those applying at Salaried Partner level, the role will involve: Demonstrating strong business development skills and a proven ability to generate work. Leveraging an existing client following or substantial market contacts. Holding or developing numerous trusteeships and executorships. About You The ideal candidate will: Have 6 years’ post-qualification experience in Private Wealth. Be experienced in estate and tax planning, inheritance tax mitigation, and trust administration. Possess STEP qualification (preferred but not essential). Show leadership skills and a track record of supervising junior team members. Have strong communication and business development credentials, particularly for those at Partner level.
