Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive school community. Our school is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential, with particular emphasis on supporting students with special educational needs. Working closely with our SEN Coordinator and classroom teachers, you will provide essential support to students with various learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop their independence. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching materials and approaches to meet individual learning styles Support students' emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and building their confidence and self-esteem Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver appropriate interventions for students with specific learning difficulties Maintain detailed records of student progress and contribute to review meetings Support students with personal care needs when required Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance specialist knowledge Required Qualifications and Experience Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics Previous experience working with children with special educational needs Understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities Knowledge of safeguarding procedures If you're interested in this rewarding opportunity or would like to discuss other supply roles in other areas, please apply today.
