Job description
We are looking for a Regulatory & Compliance Assistant to become part of our team, working 35.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, to assist and facilitate the running of the Regulatory Department by attending to Safety Data Sheets, specifications, product data packs & completing customer questionnaires, keeping up to date with legislative requirements, compliance duties and day to day tasks and administration.
Salary is £24 – 28,000 per annum, plus performance-related bonus and healthcare insurance.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain/produce and update raw material data: including but not limited to specifications, declarations and labels.
· To update Safety Data Sheets as and when necessary, using company software.
· Checking supplier documentation for compliance, identify discrepancies in supplier information and resolve them when possible
· To liaise with customer and supplier regulatory departments as necessary.
· To complete customer regulatory questionnaires as necessary.
· Website information maintenance
· Navigate stock management system and create and edit raw material records as necessary.
· To assist with legislative and regulatory compliance and the impact on raw materials.
· To assist the regulatory manager with maintaining professional accreditations, such as ISO 9001, Kosher certification and maintaining legislative and regulatory compliance.
· Coordinate & communicate with all departments within the company to gather and share product information.
· Keeping filing systems up to date as required.
· To carry out any other administrative duties as reasonably required.
Experience
Experience in any of the following is desirable:
Chemical or flavour industry, classification & labelling, compliance & regulations, supply chain systems, database & document control, SDS authoring, COSHH, ISO standards, HACCP, REACH, Quality management systems, internal auditing.
