You can find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy We’re looking for an experienced assistant management accountant to join our Co-op Business Services team (CBS) and help us to enable critical commercial decision-making that’ll drive the performance of Co-op, and help us to better serve our customers, members and colleagues. In this role, you’ll help us deliver the management accounts for our group of Co-op businesses and support in the delivery of continuous improvement projects. You’ll also help us to establish new and more effective ways of working with our senior leaders, particularly those in financial control. What you’ll do Provide support to our financial control teams as a key partner Provide monthly management accounts, making sure that deadlines are met and delivered to a high standard Complete balance sheet reconciliations making sure risks are highlighted Work on ad-hoc projects as and when directed by the finance manager Support the transformation programme across the business, working collaboratively with a wide range of partners This role would suit people who have An ACA, CIMA or ACCA accountancy qualification (or part qualified) Previous experience of manipulating data in Microsoft Excel, preparing complex balance sheet reconciliations and improving financial processes The ability to embrace change and champion new ways of working The ability to work collaboratively with peers Familiarity with accountancy systems (e.g. SAP/Cedar/Cognos) Why Co-op?
