Registered Veterinary Nurse - Wards (12 Month FTC)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a flexible start date. Expand Your Inpatient Care Skills
At East Neuk Veterinary Clinic, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional inpatient care, particularly in the management of complex cases. As a trusted referral centre for veterinary surgeons across Scotland, we offer specialised care to our patients, with a strong focus on orthopaedics. This role will allow you to build expertise in inpatient care, including the monitoring and management of patients in our wards, ensuring their comfort and recovery.
Work With Advanced Facilities
Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art, spacious operating theatres, featuring Multiparameter Monitoring, DR X-Ray, as well as a new Siemens CT scanner and ultrasound. We stock high-quality fracture plating systems from Arthrex and Synthes, along with TPLO systems, and we also have CUE, Synacart, and Biometrix THR kits available. At East Neuk, we are committed to providing our team with the best equipment to ensure excellent patient care.
Giving you a Work-Life Balance
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract for a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with a rotating weekend schedule of 1 in 10. There are no out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities for this role. Our team is central to our mission, and we recognise the importance of work-life balance to ensure everyone thrives. That's why we offer flexibility with 4 or 5-day working weeks to best suit your needs.
We are proud to have a friendly and supportive team made up of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Veterinary Nurses, and 5 front-of-house staff members. Two of our surgeons hold prestigious RCVS and European Specialist qualifications in Small Animal Surgery, and we are fortunate to have several experienced Certificate Holders and Advanced Practitioners on our team.
