The role provides IT operations and infrastructure and application support for our UK business, primarily at our Andover site, which serves as the main production facility for the UK. Andover is also home to our broader UK & IM business unit, along with the headquarters for several global functions including HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and the Twinings Ovaltine executive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide best-practice IT service management for incident requests, problems, and changes as part of the UK infrastructure operations and service delivery.
* Serve as the primary contact for escalations, liaising with IT teams, 3rd party vendors and support providers, to drive incident resolution.
* Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities for all incidents, especially those that have resulted in production downtime or significant business impact.
* Ensure the UK meets global service level agreements and service quality expectations by ensuring compliance with defined service delivery KPIs.
* Regularly meet with business stakeholders to review operational reporting and service metrics, ensuring that expectations are clearly set and consistently met.
* Ensure all systems and applications have comprehensive, up-to-date support documentation and maintain an accurate asset inventory for all UK infrastructure.
* Manage the local UK infrastructure budget and contribute to broader BizTech budget planning, ensuring that all key technology support milestones are proactively managed.
* Act as the technical lead for all UK Infrastructure projects, ensuring every project is delivered in line with the established PMO framework.
* Build strong relationships with manufacturing leaders to develop clear project execution roadmaps for manufacturing technology, ensuring every project is well understood, appropriately prioritised, and effectively implemented.
* Ensure all infrastructure and applications are supported by a robust model, working closely with manufacturing teams to secure appropriate out-of-hours expertise and coverage for critical systems.
* Lead on relevant strategic IT vendor management while proactively cultivating partnerships with third-party providers and stakeholders.
* Co-ordinate UK business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) efforts, including managing an annual DR test exercise.
* Partner with departments and business units as an ITDR champion, to ensure that their plans have relevant inclusions.
* Collaborate with other IT Teams to implement service improvements and enhancements across all of the technology services they provide.
* Managing and integrating new technologies and services into business operations.
* Coach and mentor the UK digital workplace team, guiding them to reach their full potential while ensuring robust succession planning and seamless continuity for the broader infrastructure support activities carried out by the team.
* Represent UK within the wider international infrastructure community by knowledge sharing best practices and successes and leading relevant initiatives as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Robust background in IT operations, with extensive hands-on experience across a range of technologies and environments.
* Extensive experience in manufacturing and industrial settings with deep expertise in industrial automation systems and computing.
* Adept at navigating the high-pressure challenges of supporting critical technology in dynamic production environments.
* Seasoned IT support professional experienced in collaborating with teams across diverse global locations and time zones.
* Strong working knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP.
* Familiarity with key IT security frameworks, including cybersecurity and information security principles.
* Experience in proactive risk management and compliance, using industry standard vulnerability management platforms.
* Familiarity with the ITIL framework and ITSM best practices, with an understanding of their value and implementation.
* Background in change and project management with relevant knowledge and experience.
