Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit an Engineering Manager to join their team. As the Engineering Manager, the successful individual will manage the Engineering function across four quarry sites and three engineering workshops. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working Monday to Friday plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operating the Engineering Department in accordance with Health and Safety.
2. Ensuring management control and supervision of all engineering activities.
3. Ensuring that inspections are completed, and defects reported.
4. Liaising with Operations Manager and the Health and Safety Representative.
5. Working in accordance with Environmental Management System and promoting environmentally considerate work practices.
6. Developing good communications and professional relationships.
7. Ensuring that employee timesheets are recorded accurately.
Skills and Experience:
1. Experience in the Maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant.
2. Management experience in a quarry or similar industrial facility.
3. A minimum of a QCF 6/NVQ4 in Extractives Management, or the willingness to study for it.
