A UK leading e-commerce brand who are currently going through a large digital transformation, are searching for a Head of Platform Engineering to lead a talented team responsible for building and maintaining the robust, scalable, and secure platform that powers their business. You'll be instrumental in shaping our technology strategy and driving innovation.
The Head of Platform Engineering will be responsible for
* Lead and Inspire: Build and nurture a high-performing team of DevOps and Platform engineers.
* Architect and Build: Design and implement cutting-edge platform solutions.
* Drive Innovation: Embrace emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
* Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams.
* Optimize Performance: Ensure our platform is always performing at its peak.
* Foster a Culture of Excellence: Promote best practices and a continuous improvement mindset.
The ideal Head of Platform Engineering will be expected to have experience with the following:
* Proven leadership experience in the Cloud, DevOps or Platform Engineering space.
* Cloud expertise in AWS, as well as experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD.
* A passion for building high-performance, scalable systems.
* Working closely with Product Engineering teams.
* Driving cost efficiency and optimizing AWS costs (FinOps).
* A strategic mindset and the ability to drive innovation in automation, AI etc.
