To deliver a professional claims experience for claimants by taking responsibility and being accountable for achieving the best possible outcomes and ensuring all receive the highest standards of service provision.To provide effective claims administration, ensuring claims are processed on a timely basis through prompt collation of service reports to aid determination of liability and settlement where necessary.To provide timely information to accountancy to facilitate their role in calculating recharges to service areas, incorporating sufficient contributions to cover self-insurance (policy excesses).About the roleYou will be one of a team of four insurance officers who deliver this service for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils within a supportive managed environment.You will be responsible for responding to general queries via telephone or in writing on a daily basis.You will, after initial training, manage a caseload of claims against the Council, taking responsibility for the administration of the full claims cycle.You will setup new claims and manage claims correspondence with an ability to input concise and accurate notes onto our claims management system, that would enable colleagues and supervisors to readily understand the current status of any claim.Throughout your apprenticeship you will be required to work from Wandsworth Town Hall as peer learning from working alongside team members is an essential part of your apprenticeship training.
