Dimensions is seeking Female Support Workers to make a meaningful difference to two ladies we support in Christchurch by empowering their independence and supporting them to lead fulfilled lives.
We are able to accept applications for part-time Female Support Workers. You will be working a mixture of early (07.00-14.30) and late (14.30-22.00) shifts & Sleep-Ins. There will be a requirement to work alternate weekends. Pay rate £12.85 per hour. Sleep-in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50 per shift.
The ladies we support are in their 60’s. One has learning disabilities and the other has Down’s Syndrome and a learning disability. The ladies both enjoy days full of activities and would like to meet Female Support Workers who can support them to:
* Go to Fresh Outlook on Tuesdays (activity club where bowling, bowls, and arts & crafts happen)
* Take trips to Littledown Leisure Centre to go swimming
* Go out in their cars
* Visit the beach
* Head into town to go shopping
* Help organise long weekends away
* Look after their pet rabbit
Female Support Workers will also support the ladies by assisting with day-to-day tasks (which include – but are not limited to – finances, shopping, cooking & personal care).
The ladies would like you to know that they use wheelchairs to be mobile. One requires a wheelchair at all times, while the other uses it when out of the house.
As these ladies have their own vehicles, it is essential that all Female Support Workers hold a full UK/EU Driving License.
