Description Chilton Community Primary School, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 1NN £29,093 - £30,060 FTE, depending on experience 31.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Part Time Fixed term until July 2026 Reference: 6792 Required as soon as possible We are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide short-term cover of classes both in planned and in unexpected, non-timetabled situations. Experience and/or qualifications in supporting pupils with behavioural or learning needs are also highly desirable. Candidates must have good literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths), and a HLTA qualification or in the process of completing the qualification. You will: be an effective role model in all aspects of the job, including appearance, interactions, behaviour and maintain high expectations consistently act in an approachable and supportive manner towards team members conduct interventions to support both learning and pastoral need liaise with families and other agencies to provide appropriate support collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to effectively address the needs of children demonstrate initiative and communicate effectively with teaching staff, pupils, and parents share in the whole school responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils at the school work co-operatively with other colleagues, to ensure a high quality of education for all.
