Come and join our team at the Te Ara Waiora Clinic in Flaxmere. It is an exciting new health initiative that is whānau-centred and offers free accessible health services for all whānau. Based in the heart of the Flaxmere community, the service is supported by a mix of Registered Nurses, Health Coaches, and an Administrator, who work closely with other health and social services at Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga as well as external Health and Social Service Providers to meet the needs of Whānau.
The role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. We are a Nurse Led clinic that is focused on reducing barriers to access healthcare when whānau need it most. The Clinics are designed to meet the needs and requirements that focus on whānau gaining positive outcomes. This is delivered through both fixed and mobile Nurse clinics, so we are also able to take our clinics to whānau in their homes and community events.
If you are a Registered Nurse who has a genuine desire to work in a Nurse Led Clinic and is proactive and passionate about delivering healthcare, education, and early health intervention and prevention of long-term health issues to the community, then we want to hear from you.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
The key model of care is a whānau-centred, integrated care, inter-professional practice, and innovation.
Skills & Experience
Successful applicants must:
1. Have a current practicing certificate
2. Offer demonstrable experience in working with individuals and groups of whānau in an outcome-focused way
3. Be professional in all aspects of their mahi, from presentation to practice
4. Be able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
5. Hold a current New Zealand Full Driver’s License
6. Understand Te Reo and tikanga Māori (and/or be willing to learn)
7. Be open to being flexible and agile adapting to whānau and their health needs
