And you will be supported to work autonomously, initiating action on behalf of the Chief Psychologist linked to growing our Practice Placements and Training Opportunities for Psychological Professionals across our Birmingham & Solihull services. Your main duties will be:
1. To ensure all undergraduate/pre-registration psychological professions students experience a high-quality practice – learning environment through a robust and fully integrated partnership between the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Service Providers (BSMHFT) and NHSE-Workforce Training & Education Division (formerly known as Health Education England).
2. To ensure assessors and supervisors of student psychologists and trainee psychological professionals including associates/degree apprentices receive robust support and education within the clinical environments they are placed.
3. To actively influence staff in the development of a “student friendly culture” encouraging potential healthcare recruits and subsequently supporting the local recruitment and retention group and monitor quality of placements.
