Job title: Quality Engineering Assurance Lead

Salary: Up to £43,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Works as a fully contributory member of the Quality Assurance team, undertaking specialist non-routine and/or complex Quality Assurance activities and tasks in their related area
* Able to access, have a clear understanding of and develop the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in their related area
* Lead and support internal audits, including management of non-conformance resolution and corrective actions with key stakeholders and process owners
* Lead and support the facilitation of working groups ensuring deliverables are achieved and Learning from Experience (LfE) is captured and applied
* Drive and support requirements relating to certification activities
* The ability to articulate and deliver Quality objectives
* Represent the department at Quality and cross-functional reviews and liaise with the customer when required
* Responsible for providing supervision to Early Careers on rotation through Quality roles
Your skills and experiences:
* HNC or Degree qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent Quality experience
* Quality professional, lead auditor status or equivalent experience working to standards ISO9001 or AS9100
* The ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements
* Effective action management and verification
* Effective stakeholder management (including with the customer)

Maritime and Land Defence Solutions Quality Assurance team:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineering Assurance Lead to join the Maritime & Land Defence Solutions Quality Assurance team. This is a team of professional Quality Engineers providing QA support to a range of products and services. Responsibilities will predominantly be in our Underwater Weapons sector, with opportunities to also support colleagues in Radars, Autonomy, Training & Simulation and Warship Support as required.
We work with cutting-edge technologies to provide unique solutions for our worldwide Defence customers. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, liaising with senior stakeholders within BAE Systems, as well as customer representatives and our suppliers.
