Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team. This role is essential in providing guidance and support to our residential staff while ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills, as well as the ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided.
Duties
* Lead and supervise a team of residential staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and organisational policies.
* Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
* Foster a positive and nurturing environment for children, promoting their emotional and social development.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and external agencies to ensure collaborative care.
* Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress and incidents.
* Provide training and support to staff in areas such as childcare practices, behaviour management, and IT systems relevant to care delivery.
* Drive initiatives that promote a safe and engaging environment for children, including organising activities that encourage personal growth.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in childcare or working with children in a residential setting is essential.
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with children of various ages.
* A valid driving licence is necessary for transporting children as required.
* Proficient in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
* A compassionate approach with strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate staff members.
* Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work preferred.
