They work closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads and Software Engineers to drive a collaborative approach to problem-solving that focuses on delivering products and experiences that meet our customers’ needs. You will be responsible for Supporting the tactical needs of the team from prototyping to production and testing; crafting workflows, interfaces and interactions to deliver working solutions. Facilitating collaborative design activities necessary to routinely engage users and the wider team in the process of exploring, shaping and refining solutions. Use of research and insight (qualitative and quantitative) to inform/influence the solution and any associated design decisions. Work with the development team to ensure a design/experiential perspective is factored into delivery; taking ownership of associated design decisions. Follows, contributes towards and wherever possible helps to maintain a shared UI component and pattern library. Refining and improving the usability, usage and engagement of existing solutions through frequent rounds of user testing, measurement and data analysis. Champions a customer-centric approach to design and development, advocating for user engagement and empathy. Support and contribute towards some aspects of wider practice improvement and/or the coaching and mentoring of more junior members of the team. You will need Experience of working in complex domains in the business to business software space. A strong portfolio that demonstrates a user-centered design process. Experience of working in cross-functional, agile teams where you’ve collaborated with the likes of PMs, Engineers and other Product Designers. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your ideas, concepts and design decisions. Proven ability to execute design projects and support the production, delivery and refinement of software solutions. A solid understanding of evaluative research methods (qualitative and quantitative) required to identify, evaluate and improve the user experience. Experience with UI design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma). An inclusive, open and transparent approach to your work.
