Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Intelligence and Analytics team in a world leading Heart and Lung Hospital. The Business Intelligence Team is responsible for a wide range of information analysis relating to patient information, business and performance management indicators and clinical and data quality issues. The Team is integral to the Trusts performance management framework and its specialist knowledge plays an important part in operational decision-making. The role sits within the Finance Directorate but will work closely with the Digital Directorate to deliver the requirements of the role and to deliver increasing collaboration between the two teams. Main duties of the job The Business Intelligence Analyst will be required to support the provision of operational and corporate reporting for the Trust, as well as the provision of externally required reporting. The post holder will be required to work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure they have the information they need, in a timely manner, to monitor activity and performance. They will also be responsible for suggesting ways to improve data quality and data collection systems. The Analyst will therefore develop expertise in specific areas but will also be expected to understand all areas of activity. The post holder will be expected to develop reports and help end-users of the report to analyse and interpret the information.
