We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our IT team as an Apprentice IT Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic airport environment, providing essential IT support to our ground handling operations. You will be working with experienced professionals to learn and develop your skills while contributing to the smooth running of our critical IT systems. What you’ll do: Provide first-line IT support: Assist staff with basic IT issues, such as password resets, software troubleshooting, and printer problems, guidance on raising fault using BA ITIL software. Maintain IT equipment: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Network support: Basic understanding of network infrastructure and assist with troubleshooting network connectivity issues. User administration: Create and manage user accounts, ensuring appropriate access levels and permissions. Software and hardware inventory: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including software licenses and hardware specifications. Intranet support/ maintenance & housekeeping SharePoint support/ maintenance & housekeeping GDPR Data Protection administration What you’ll bring to Gatwick Ground Services: A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a strong desire to learn and pursue a career in IT. A proactive and 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent timekeeping and attendance, with a commitment to punctuality and reliability. Your experience: Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Grade 4. Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or support role would be advantageous.
