The Opportunity Our client, a manufacturing company based in Belfast, has a fantastic opportunity within their Accounts Department as a Credit Controller - the successful candidate will have at minimum a year of experience within an Accounts team with fantastic time management and attention to detail. Moreover, the ideal candidate will ideally have a relevant qualification and strong IT skills. Key Responsibilities Assessing credit risk by evaluating customer's credit status and setting appropriate credit limits. Establish and maintain terms and conditions. Communicate with debtors to ensure timely payments and foster strong relationships. Manage overdue accounts and implement effective debt recovery strategies. Negotiate and arrange payment plans as needed. Handle credit insurance matters, including timely reporting of overdue debts. Oversee compliance with credit insurance reporting requirements. Maintain accurate records, detailed notes, and organised documentation for easy access. Generate and present reports on receivables and overdue accounts. Month end Debtor Statements. Be adaptable and cross-train in other accounting functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Other ad hoc task. Criteria Experience using financial systems. Five GCSEs (or equivalent) graded A-C, including English and Mathematics. At least one year of proven experience in an accounting environment. Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
